work
I've been fortunate to work in a great variety of situations, accumulating experience, knowledge and understanding along the way, all of which I draw on in my practice. A period of working in the funding system between 1999 to 2005 at Arts Council England saw the poacher briefly turn gamekeeper before reverting to more familiar territory! It proved a fascinating sojurn with a group of outstanding individuals I felt privileged to work with. They opened my eyes and ears to a multitude of art practices, experiences and knowledge.
Alias
Alias is the Artist-Led Initiative Advisory Service in the south west and I've been Administrative Director for five years co-directing with Sovay Berriman and a group of Advisors.
Alias is built by artists for artists to support independent practice through a network of artist-led groups, individual artists, curators and visual arts professionals. Our aim is to strengthen the artist-led sector by sharing experience and knowledge, to provide a critical context, resources and advice.
Back Lane West
Back Lane West is an artist-led, residency, project, and meeting space in Redruth, Cornwall. Its aims are to support and encourage critically engaged visual art practice and artists' professional development, while contributing to the growth of a nationally and internationally connected, cultural community and network in the south west.
Set up by co-Directors, Patrick and Jane Lowry, I was an Associate Director for a while to help them to secure resources for their future programme.

Goonhilly Village Green
Goonhilly Village Green (GVG) is an artist-led investigation and celebration of a unique location, Goonhilly Downs on the Lizard peninsular in Cornwall. It is a community oriented, not for profit project running from October 2014 until March 2019. et up by myself and artist Elizabeth Masterton as a direct result of our Happidrome series of temporary public exhibitions at Goonhilly Downs, the project creates a platform for the sharing of knowledge about the area, from both lay and professional sources, related to a wide range of topics, delivered through a public celebration resembling an extended artists' village fete crossed with a series of presentations, workshops and events.
