Part of MORE Cornwall,

Goonhilly Downs

https://happidrome.wordpress.com/category/happidrome-1/

Happidrome One showcased the work of five artists in and around a disused radar station at Goonhilly Downs on the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall. The project was developed over several months with staff at Natural England Cornwall who manage the area as part of the national nature reserve. The artists, Sara Bowler, Elizabeth Masterton, Steven Paige, Paul Ridout and Alison Sharkey, created work in response to the site, referencing aspects of its history, ecology and archaeology. The raw nature of the place provided an ideal environment to make and present work beyond the restrictions of the gallery, providing a platform for the artists to actively engage with audiences both critically and physically.
